This one reminds me of my ex-colleague whom I seldom talk about this kind of stuff.
One thing I remember is him telling me 2 times that there is a good time to invest. Perhaps it is this period of worry that concerns main street folks.
Vanguard Group posted this short rear view mirror look at their passively managed 60% stocks, 40% bonds portfolio.
We have a pretty good 4 year run, and this passively (auto-pilot) portfolio that just buys and hold have gone through a rather worrying period.
The experts and commentators are clamoring with so much opinions.
The futile wait for the point when everything is rosy
But perhaps the most important thing is a bull market is built upon worries and crisis.
Hindsight will show that if you kept waiting and waiting for the coast is clear, when the coast gets clear, the market is probably at the point of correcting or waiting to go down.
Worries usually bring cheaper prices.
There are always some shit going on in this world, you are not going to get a period that is so sanguine.
